About Shantell TwoBears, MD

Shantell TwoBears, MD, enjoys her role as a family medicine specialist at Family Medicine Associates, PC, a thriving family medicine resource in Thornton, Colorado. She loves having the opportunity to truly get to know the patients in her care, and finds it deeply rewarding to watch them move through the phases of life. 

A lifelong learner, Dr. TwoBears completed her medical degree at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Grand Forks. Now in practice for more than two decades, she continues to find opportunities to learn new aspects of health and wellness to bring to her patients. 

Dr. TwoBears is passionate about women’s health and wellness. She also loves working with children, and it brightens her day to spend time with the youngest patients at Family Medicine Associates, PC. 

Dr. TwoBears has experience in all areas of practice, including nursing home care and hospital care. Preventive medicine is an area of focus, and she believes there are few things more rewarding than assisting patients as they improve their quality of life. 

Moving to Colorado allows Dr. TwoBears the opportunity to be closer to her family, including her daughter and grandson. When not working with patients, she can be found hiking with her dogs, knitting, and reading. Book a time to meet Dr. TwoBears to learn more about her practice philosophy.
